How did you start your business?
In 1989, after many years of managing business and engineering projects, our curiosity about which personal attributes caused some managers and teams to perform so much more effectively led us both to augment our technical expertise by obtaining graduate degrees in applied psychology. With this valuable combination, we developed the people-centered approach, how people think, how to reach their individual personalities and learning styles and much more.
This led us to co-author the books Managing People (Including Yourself) for Project Success, The Lead Dog Has the Best View, a practical guide to improving leadership skills. Developing project management leadership programs around these books and approaches formed the initial building blocks of the business.
